I had a holiday gathering for my adult students on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. As many of my adult students have their family to look after, I separated gatherings in several different days.
We enjoyed a chopstick game by picking a marble with chopsticks and transferring it from one bowl to another also a Shiritori game. Shiritori game is a word game that the player is required to say a word which begins with the final sound of the word that previous player said. The word can’t end with a sound of “n”, so you could start with, ‘gakki”がっき→”kimono”（きもの）→”nori”（のり）, and “risu”（りす）, but “gakki” （がっき）can’t be followed by “kirin”（きりん）as it ends with “n” sound.
I was so lucky to be able to share this amazing time with my teenage students and their parent(s) on Friday, December 6, 2019. They started the gathering by helping with decorating my Christmas tree so beautifully. Thank you all for your contribution!
It was the first time for me to invite my students’ parent(s) for our holiday gathering. We ate together, share our stories, and played some games together. One of the games was to pick marbles with chopsticks and move them from one cup to them another. Many students love eating sushi, so it wasn’t too difficult for them.
One of my students’ mother made some beautiful cakes and I enjoyed watching some students eating their cake with chopsticks….
Thank you very much for this precious memory and I appreciate all of my students and their family who support my teaching business.
